OSH Literacy.org is the world’s ONLY dedicated OSH organisation specifically focused on raising awareness and best practice in the field of OSH communications and training. We are a registered training centre with two of the largest accredited course providers and offer more than 50 accredited OSH, trainer-training and vocationally related courses. We will also work with you to design bespoke courses to suit your needs. It is our mission to train trainers to be able to deliver fully-inclusive training courses so that learning is engaging and successful outcomes are achieved and remembered. We have a lot of experience in this field. Monies raised through commercial courses goes towards financing our OSH training projects with NGOs and at-risk persons. As English is the Lingua-Franca of the global workplace and Occupational Health and Safety, all our courses are in English. Trainers will then have the expertise to deliver training in both English and their native language.  Successful course participants receive a specialised and highly regarded OSH literacy Teacher’s Certificate in inclusive learning. 

– OSH literacy Certificate in Inclusive and Effective OSH training:

 

  • This intensive one-day certificated programme is  designed for persons who  may already have  some responsibility for delivering OSH training such as inductions and Tool-Box-Talks, but don’t have the time to undertake the complete Train-the-Trainer course. Participants learn about the range of learning issues which can prevent a person from accessing information as well as different styles of learning. They are then taught how to research, plan, deliver and assess well-structured, inclusive and effective OSH information sessions suitable for all types of employees’ learning needs, which they can then incorporate seamlessly into their current OSH information and instruction talks. 

– For qualified teachers and trainers – 1 week Level 3 certificate in Health and Safety and Fire Safety:

 

  • This course is suitable for persons who already hold a valid teaching or training certificate and who may wish to broaden the amount of courses they can offer. It is especially suitable for teachers with responsibility for teaching Health and Safety and Fire Safety or who may want to take on additional Health and Safety roles within the school. At the end of this one-week course, participants will have accomplished, receive and will be able to teach: the International Awards in Health and Safety levels 1 and 2. They will also receive the level 3 certificate in both courses. Additional courses may be added or courses can be adapted to your needs. In addition to the practical skills and knowledge, this course focuses on how to teach and train these courses to others. Successful participants also receive the OSH Literacy Teacher’s Certificate in inclusive learning.

– Level 3 International Award in Delivering Training with OSH Literacy.org Certificate in Inclusive Training       (3 Days).

 

  • This general course is aimed at persons wishing to deliver training and work in F.E., adult education and training, for NGOs and a range of other contexts. In particular this course is suitable for persons wishing to work with and train adults within an international context. Successful course participants receive a specialised and highly regarded OSH literacy Teacher’s Certificate in inclusive learning.

 

  •  Level 1 Award in Health and Safety for Manufacturing.
  •  Level 1 Award in Health and Safety for Catering.
  •  Level 1 Award in Health and Safety for Retail.
  •  Level 1 International Award in Health and Safety for Construction Labourers and Site Visitors.
  •  Level 1 Award in Health and Safety for Carers.
  • Level 1 International Award in Principles of Health and Safety
  • Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace(QCF)

Throughout the programme great emphasis is placed on making participants aware of how to deliver inclusive training to all levels of learners. In addition to the four level 3 certificates, successful participants will also receive the OSH Literacy Teacher’s Certificate in inclusive learning.

– Combined Health & Safety, Manual Handling and Fire Safety with Level 3 International Award in Delivering Training(10 Days Level 3)

It is a legal requirement that employers provide OSH training and communications in a manner which can be understood by employees. Ideal for companies dealing with large numbers of the public in an international context either in retail, hospitality, tourism or other settings. This is an instructor course that enables you to teach a range of accredited First Aid qualifications to your staff:

This particular option includes the Level 3 Award in Education and Training which you will achieve by attending all 5 days.
